Hi welcome, thank you for being here. I am Melissa McLeod and I'm a clinical hypnotherapist, psychotherapist, brain health coach, NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming) master and art therapist.
I live and work on the northern Beaches in Sydney, but obviously through the Internet can be worldwide, which is wonderful.
Over the last 20 years I've been helping people to overcome obstacles with their mindset. So perhaps there's an area in your life where you've been struggling. For some people it’s been with sleep, they’ve been unable to sleep because I've been worried about something, or just got into an unhelpful pattern. Other people are worrying excessively and having thoughts that are getting in the way of their day to day living.
For some people it's anxiety and for some people it's late a little bit into depression. But other people come to see me for fears and phobias or also just to also loose some extra kilos or to get themselves back on track.
The wonderful thing is we work together, to create a new path, a new path in your life but also your mindset. And we do this with the combination of NLP, hypnotherapy and the brain health coaching.
So really the hypnotherapy is about reprogramming, resetting the mind, focusing on things you’d prefer to be focusing on and letting go of the things you don’t want to be holding onto.
The NLP part of it is really interesting as well as it really looks at our language and how we set things up in our mind and we can change that really effectively, safely and quickly.
Some of these things can actually effect the way our brain is working. So if we are not sleeping for example we might not be able to erm keep memories and (giggling as lost train of thinking ;) I’d better get myself more sleep (laughing)! You might not be able to remember things so easily and things like that.
So there are lots of different things that we can do, but it's looking at the mind and the brain holistically and going from there.
So as I say, I'm looking at your language patterns, And I'm looking for some of the limiting beliefs that might be behind what you're saying. And and we put together strategies so that you can go forwards. The hypnotherapy itself It's not mind control, it's really lovely safe and natural.
We do tailor make it for you so it is very specific and unique to you. Which means you are more likely to take it on board because you've had a part in designing it.
